3d6476c adds a test suite Makefile which unconditionally uses --no-gnu-unique, which clang does not implement, similar to hyprwm/hyprland-plugins#279.

I guess you'd have to duplicate the fix from there or poke the right meson/clang bits and not use the direct makefile. probably other stuff around that breaking too.

what if you use cmake

This time :

cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/local -B build
cmake --build build -j `nproc`

Seems to be giving the same errors, although I probably can't see if there's a big difference. I've attached the compile output.

we can just drop the no gnu uniquethere it doesnt matter for the tester tbh
