I would like the abillity to have the border drawn on top of the window's edges, rather than around them, while still being able to click that area of the window (obviously this would disable resize-on-drag). It's not a problem for me that this obscures some of each window.
The reason for wanting this feature is that I want to be able to access some things that can lie right on the screen edges, such as tabs and scroll bars in firefox, by moving my mouse pointer to the very edge of my screen. At the same time my eyesight is not very good (partially blind on one eye, especially in the "middle" area of my peripheral sight where borders might otherwise be visible) so having a clear colorful border that occupies all of the window edges is very helpful to me.
I realize that the result of this feature might be a bit "ugly" UX-wise (clicking on stuff under borders...) but I would really appreciate having it. I'm very pleased with Hyprland in all other regards. I also understand if it's just not technically easy to do with the way things are drawn, but if it is feasible I would really love it. It's no problem for me to build from source to test it out if needed.
I only found one similar earlier discussion, I think the thread starter is asking for something slightly different, but this comment by @adamnejm mentions basically what I am looking for. Of course as in that case the dynamic focused/nonfocused window distinction is critical to me.
Thanks!
