Dual monitors over thunderbolt not working

The short of the long of it is, that hyprland doesn't pick up both my monitors connected via a thunderbolt hub. When I use hyprctl monitors, only one of the monitors are listed.

But when i use boltctl , i see both monitors are connected to the thunderbolt hub:

I'm using an onboard intel graphics card on a 12700 intel CPU, via the i915 kernel module.

Very, very likely a driver limitation. Displaylink / thunderbolt are very flaky on linux.
