I see what the issue is. Essentially, the other keyboard layouts I used use
the ‘[‘ key in order to type out an accent. However it seems that on
hyprland this types out a completely different accent. Either way, the fix
you suggested works so it shouldn’t be a problem anymore.

${nixpkgs#xorg.setxkbmap}/share/X11/xkb/symbols/es, the dead acute can be
combined with a letter, and it is on the AC11 position, namely ' on the
US layout.

Pretty sure it's not a bug, it's just how the default Spanish layout works. You may find more comfortable to use the 'Latam' layout, which is the Latin American Spanish variation and has the tilde right where you want it. |

Hi all, sorry to pile on in this and by all means tell me to ask on my own, but I´m having some similar issues. I run a Spanish keyboard (https://kbdlayout.info/KBDLA/ model to be specific) but when I change the Hyprland conf to reflect this layout, some keys stop working and I have to open a separate tty to reset it. or go to a seperate session and kill off the Hyprland one. I`m sure its a me problem not the computer. So help a newbie out, Thanks. |

Not really sure, but this is probably something you should put in a
separate issue.

When switching to a Spanish keyboard layout, the accents go in the wrong direction:
àèìòù
when they should be going in the other direction (I can't type the proper characters out for obvious reasons).
