Dwindle force_split alternate options or modifier #11111

On ultrawide monitors dwindle's golden ratio doesn't work as expected. This is because you have much more width than you do height. This leads to more splits to the right or left than to the bottom or top because there is a high probability that the current window w > h. For example (force_split = 2), new windows open as (right, right, bottom, right) for me. I would like them to open (right, bottom, right, bottom) aka the golden ratio as intended. I am requesting either a new option to modify splits to ignore current w > h. Say "split_decision" where default 0 = width height comparison, and 1 = alternate. or Adding more "force_split" options 3 = left/top alternate, and 4 = right/bottom alternate. |

After getting some help on reddit. Setting split_width_multiplier = 2.0 fixed my issue. Although I don't understand what this setting is meant to do exactly. Is it meant to deal with screen sizes? My monitor is 3440x1440. At the very least I think there should be better documentation around this setting. |

dwindle chooses the split direction based on the ratio of the box. If it's wider, it's side-by-side. If it's taller, it's top-to-bottom. width multiplier multiplies the width before the comparison by a set number.
