Does Hyprland 0.50 require gcc-15? #11080

(First, sorry for my English) I have been building Hyprland on Debian testing for over a year. The most recent was when I repackaged v0.49 the 12th of July (to build with the newest aquamarine version). Hyprland 0.50 doesn't build for me. In the build process, I think these lines provide the reason: (there was no dependency change announcement on the release notice, but I decided to re-build all dependencies in case there is a small difference). I have tested many things, but I still get the same error. I have reached the conclusion that gcc-14 is missing the newest instructions for the Hyprland code to build, so I come here to ask: Does v0.50.0 require gcc-15? I searched the discussions for this, but I didn't find any clear statement that gcc-15 is needed (just clang-19, which I do have installed). If this is correct, please update the release notes to warn users/builders/packagers (gcc-15 is still in "experimental" for Debian). If this is incorrect, and Hyprland 0.50 can be build with gcc-14, I will explore what could be the issue on my end. Thanks for your time. |
