Right click and then left click drag release to select item immediatly doesnt work on libadwaita apps such as nautilus

On most apps like Firefox i can right click and then left click drag and release to immediately select the item. for example if i right click on a web page and then left click and drag to save page as and then releasing both buttons immediately opens save page as dialog. On nautilus or gnome-terminal if i do this the context menu doesn't highlight or select anything. But on gnome both these apps behavior is similar to Firefox, Right click and then left click drag immediately selects the highlighted context menu item on release. Can anyone reproduce this issue. Could this be related to libadwaita. I'm using hyprland 0.50.0 with arch linux.
