Windows slide in the wrong direction

When using animation = windows, 1, 4, default, slide I would expect the new window to come in from the side (blue arrow) and not from the top/bottom (which is what happens, red arrow). The same applies for when it goes out

The only moment when the direction seems correct is when there's just a single open window and opening a second
