I think this is not what you want, but something like this can help (it won't bind the windows, just dim behind the dialogues): or this for more of the dialogues If not in English or Portuguese, use hyprctl to get the correct translated keyword |

I don't think this should be a windowrule. I think it should be the default behavior. We already (forcefully) dim a parent that has an xdg_dialog attached. Is that what you are talking baout? |

for example:
Thunar spawns a renaming window.
when howevering over thunar(anywhere other then the renaming popup), I would expect it to force the focus to be on the popup while the rest of the thunar window is dimed
i seen some apps have those behavior builtin, but a windowrule for this would be great
