bell events are not passed to the socket mentioned in the IPC page on the wiki

writing the bell character to stdout, e.g. using printf, does not result in a bell in the output of socat when it is reading the socket
i do get other output from the socket, like when changing windows, but not when there is a bell
i was on 0.49.0 and switched to hyprland-git from AUR (commit 28c9122), the problem persists
i have also tried writing the bell character to /dev/tty2 (the tty that hyprland is running on) on both versions of hyprland that i have tried (the thought here is that wezterm is intercepting it (i have a listener for bells), it does not notice it when writing to the tty, and using other terminals also did not result in a bell in the socket)

for reference, this is not a matter of no noise, more that i want a way to detect bell characters

your terminal has to support xdg-bell. Kitty does, for example.
