This seems to be a hyprland issue (see comments) and I cannot reproduce this using hyprlock in another compositor

If it helps, its not unique to hyprlock, I have the issue in firefox, openoffice, waybar shows the correct state, but anytime I press a keyboard button, they forget what state its in, and the numpad stops working
