Incorrect behavior of relative workspace switching with empty workspace

Hi, I've encountered a weird behavior recently

When trying to use per-monitor relative workspace switching including empty workspaces
workspace on monitor including empty workspaces, relative with + or -, absolute with ~: e.g. r+1 or r~3

It does not work as I expect:

• when all workspaces are on the same monitor, everything works fine, I can switch relatively, and a new workspace is created at the end
• when i have some workspace on the other monitor, eg. monitor1: workspace1, workspace3, monitor2: workspace2, I can go from workspace1 to workspace3 without problems, but when trying to go back from workspace3 to workspace1, I get: Previous workspace doesn't exist

those are my binds:

$mod, k, workspace, r-1
$mod, j, workspace, r+1

Am I understanding this dispatcher incorrectly?
