I might be adding to the bulk; however, it seems that it'd benefit the project to take some time to do some housekeeping.

Milestones are completely outdated, pull request are lagging behind and remain unmerged even when "approved", issues that have existed for longer than five years without any reply from any of the people involved.

@knu any thoughts on getting assistance from the community for this?

How many of the approved PRs can be merged? That would seem like a reasonable place to start.

Went through PRs up to 2017 and grouped them as follows in an attempt to aid with the monumental task ahead:

Seem approved:

#3201

#2801

#2358

#2912

#3180

Had some follow up, but no follow-up from maintainers:

#2848

#2881

#2809

#2795

#2161

#2010

Missing tests or follow up from PR open:

#2229

#1958

No response, seems ready, had traction:

#3143

No response from maintainers:

#3153

#2586

No response, too aggressive of a change?

#3063

#2988

#2980

#2890

Had traction, but looks abandoned:

#1919

#1855

Abandoned by PR owners:

#2809

#2938

#2794

#2733

#2713

#2695

#2655

@MarioRicalde I'm sorry I missed this and thanks for your hard work! Yes, I'm very positive about getting help and assistance from the community.

I'll consider giving the necessary permissions to those willing to triage issues. Should we start using the Projects feature of GitHub?

I am capable of aiding but in bursts. My huginn server went poof, but I've been wanting to set it up again.

Projects could be an option if we group issues/feature requests. I was also thinking about discussions as I have declared issue bankruptcy a long time ago, because most of the posted issues are discussions/usage questions.

@dsander Maybe we should take a weekend to go through the open tickets and close out the discussions.
