Overview

Alexandra Babanuta and Nawras Mouala have successfully developed Dicomhawk v2.0, introducing several new functionalities to enhance logging, monitoring, API capabilities, and compatibility with real medical data.

Key Features & Enhancements

  • Centralized Logging: Unified log management under the Flask logging server folder.
  • Monitoring Stack: Integrated a Redis-backed monitoring system with a Kibana dashboard.
  • Improved Code Structure: Refactored the DICOM server into multiple files for better readability and maintainability, reducing merge conflicts.
  • Public API Expansion: Added API endpoints to extend deception capabilities.
  • Honeytoken Functionality: Implemented mechanisms to detect unauthorized access attempts.
  • Threat Intelligence Integration: Enhanced Kibana with threat intelligence features.
  • Real Medical Data Support: Introduced compatibility with TCIA (The Cancer Imaging Archive) datasets.
  • DICOM Viewer Compatibility: Ensured support for real-world DICOM viewers, such as SanteDicomViewer.

Next Steps

  • Assign specific testing tasks to team members.
