What hardware is required to install bthome in HA?

Does the Bluetooth hardware need to be installed on the ha host or which other possibilities are there?

Can a Shelly switch that has Bluetooth as well as WiFi (and LAN) connectivity act as an interface between the shelly BLU device and Bthome+HA?
