Hi,
I propose adding support for the Advanced Perceptual Contrast Algorithm (APCA) in Home Assistant.
Unlike traditional contrast calculations (e.g., WCAG), APCA considers factors like font size, weight, and brightness distribution, providing a more accurate and user-friendly approach to readability and accessibility.
Why APCA?
Improved Accessibility: APCA better supports users with visual impairments or color deficiencies by aligning with real-world perception.
Better Design Control: Theme creators can ensure that selected color combinations provide sufficient contrast, enhancing overall user experience.
APCA is gaining traction in web design and accessibility standards and will soon be part of WCAG 3.0.
