Componet in VHDL

Hi, i was trying to use component inside the vhdl code but i can't make it work is there a way to instantiate the componetn through the work library or how can i use the component feature into digital for vhdl???

Just wondering the same thing. Did you find an answer somewhere else that you can share?
I just discovered Digital and I was wondering the same thing: is there a way to include a VHDL entity that includes another entities?
I have tried analyzing the entity to be included with GHDL so that a work library is created in the same directory of the "main" component, with the analyzed entity in it, but unfortunately it does not seem to work (when testing the main vhdl file from DIGITAL, the error message reads something to the effect of "no such entity in work library".
Digital is a very nice piece of software as it is, but I feel that for teaching VHDL the ability to use DIGITAL as a "virtual tetsbench" for relatively complex projects obtained from the integration of a few entity/components using QUARTUS or VIVADO would be extremely useful.
Simulators within VIVADO are fine for advanced designer, but using DIGITAL to "test" the response of a system designed in VHDL using push-buttons, LEDs and other visually "engaging" devices could be very effective with students that work with HDL for the first time.
Any information about this aspect would be appreciated.
