App version

1.4

Windows version

Windows 10 Professional

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to https://www.catch22.net/projects/matrix/
  2. Click download
  3. Extract files
  4. View "Read Me"
  5. Follow "Read Me" instructions to copy file into windows folder in C drive.
  6. Right Click on .scr file & click "Install Button"
  7. Go to https://www.henrypp.org/product/matrix
  8. Click matrix-1.4-bin.zip to download
  9. Extract all files
  10. Go to new folder matrix-1.4-bin>matrix>64
  11. Rename Matrix.scr file to matrix2.scr
  12. Copy to windows folder then right click on .scr file and click "Install"

Now both show up in the screensaver selection window, but with different names, the first one is called "Matrix Screensaver", the second (yours) is called "PMatrix Screensaver". However no matter which one I select and then click on settings to make changes, the settings menu for your Screensaver shows up. Also no matter which one I select to be displayed in preview, or when its supposed to activate the screensaver, yours is the one that's displayed. I can tell because the first one I installed had much bigger Cipher string characters falling down the screen, where as yours is so small I cant even see what the individual characters are, and no matter what I change the density to once it falls a quarter of the way down my screen it starts to slow down and seems as though it glitches and starts to group several vertical rows into chunks that all move in tandem with each other from right to left, and after one group of vertical rows shifts down an little then the next group of vertical rows to the left of the first group shifts down a little, then the next, and the next, until every group of vertical rows all the way across the screen has shifted down a step. I should probably mention I'm using a 65 inch 4K HDR television connected to my PC with a high speed 2.0 HDMI cable, rather than regular PC Screens.

I've tried to delete it from the windows folder in my C disk, I've also tried to run the Uninstal.bat file that came with it and the Command prompt told me I had to run it as an admin, so I did, and it would flash my screen black for a split second but both of the screensavers names are still showing in the screensaver selector even though I've completely deleted the other screensaver file and deleted your screensaver file as well as ran the uninstall command.

Expected behavior

It shouldn't have overwrote or overrode the other screensaver, and it should have uninstalled when I deleted the file, or ran the uninstaller.bat file.

Actual behavior

It overrode one other matrix themed screensaver, and didn't uninstall
