I just tried this app on my Android phone and have a few suggestions to make Helio even better:
On the settings page, the scrollbar moves with regular scrolling but the content moves with natural scrolling. In other words, the scroll directions of the content and the scrollbar are reversed, when instead they should be consistent. I suggest removing the scrollbar because it is too easy to select a menu option when swiping down on the content.
My phone has a camera cutout which gets in the way of the sidebar when editing. I did see the workaround on iOS, but it does not work on Android as it pulls up the notification and 3-button bars instead. Ideally the content would be rendered to avoid the cutout.
Also some suggestions not specific to Android:
The default theme is too dark to see the buttons clearly, the contrast between background and content is also low. Ural Winter has much higher contrast and I think it would be a better default.
It would be nice to configure the default instrument to soundfont synthesizer for all channels/tracks.
That way when I import a multi-channel MIDI file, I can use my soundfonts right away instead of changing the instrument to soundfont for every single channel.EDIT: I found that the instrument can be changed for a single file under the Refactor menu, it would also be nice if this could be a system setting for all new songs.Beta Was this translation helpful?
