Would be nice to be able to increase the stock of an existing item, but have purchases kept track of separately. That way commonly used items can easily be added too, but purchase price and purchase location can be tracked independently.
A good example of this would be gold/silver. It would be common for those items to be stored in the same location and have stock added to them over time. Being able to see different purchases prices would be great for collectables and other investment items.
Having multiple items of "1oz silver coin" in the same location is more cumbersome than "+1 silver coin. Bought from pawn shop on 1/10/24 for $20". It would be great to see "oh I have 20 silver coins in the safe" at a glance.
