For example, when creating a marriage event from a person view, include a button to select a person as the spouse/intended marriage target (a second 'principle', if you will). Also, provide a field for creating an event description that might be different from the one you're currently creating.

Example I just went through:
Type: marriage
Date: (date)
Description: marriage between james a crump and evaretta mccord

I would also appreciate being able to create the reciprocal event for evaretta mccord at the same time that would say:
Type: marriage
Date: (date)
Description: marriage between evaretta mccord and james a crump

Same for divorces, and it's probably appropriate elsewhere, such as adoptions.

Marriages are family events, not person events, so it will be associated with the family "james a crump and evaretta mccord".

It's actually a valid observation that Gramps Web makes it too easy to associate events that are meant for families with people.

Maybe the menu should be filtered on what's appropriate from where one is creating an event
