Long story short: I don't have the time/energy to maintain gorp. If anyone else would like to review and merge PRs, at least, please send me an email.
Long story long:
I've been struggling with burnout and normal life stressors, as I'm sure we all have. But I also have several other projects to maintain, and frankly I just don't use gorp for anything any more. Doing struct<->table mappings at runtime with reflection feels wrong to me in $current_year.
In my world, I've been doing so much gRPC that I finally wrote a protoc plugin for generating database queries from .proto files. It's not stable yet (more of a proof of concept than anything else), but if and when I do database work, I generally use that. See the repo if you're curious.
And then a year ago, I was in a car accident. My skull is now held together by eight metal plates and a couple dozen pins. If my burnout wasn't enough, now I'm sleeping a lot longer than I used to (because, you know, my skull is healing), which is eating up what little free time I had.
If other folks are still using this project, I think they would be better off maintaining it. So if you still use gorp and would like to spend your free time reviewing PRs and writing code, send me an email.
