I'm currently trying to implement an existing paper to see if my results align well with it. One of the intermediary steps involves subsampling a large point-cloud to one having lesser points while retaining the overall topological information by making use of witness complexes as given in this paper: De Silva, V.; Carlsson, G.E. Topological estimation using witness complexes. SPBG 2004, 4, 157–166.
I wanted to know if there exists an in-built pipeline in giotto to perform subsampling using the above technique. All help would be appreciated. Thank you!
