User Story

As a curator
I want to be able to amend or add files to a datasets published long ago for which there is no longer a dropbox
So that I can keep long published datasets up-to-date

Acceptance tests

Given a published dataset need new files to be added to
When there is no dropbox for dataset and those needs to be uploaded to wasabi
Then I have a documented tool that allow to upload the files and have the metadata updated in the database

Additional info

Hi Peter and TechTeam,

In the frame of the shift from SketchFab we are operating for our 3D models, we have identified the 3D model files that need to be added to GigaDB related datasets; there are 3 datasets concerned and we have gather the model files in 3 dropboxes:

  • dataset 102534: dropbox user335
  • dataset 100911: dropbox user336
  • dataset 100539: dropbox user337

all dropboxes contain the related 3D model files, updated readme & updated DOI.md5 and DOI.filesizes

All infos in GitHub ticket #2196

We haven't been able to copy the dropbox to wasabi using rclone (using --dry-run), Chris and I got the same error message: Failed to create file system for "wasabi_ChrisH:gigadb-datasets/live/pub/10.5524/102001_103000/102534/": didn't find section in config file

Then, could you please run these uploads for us for the three datasets, both to wasabi and the S3 backup ?

Please let us know if you need any additional information, thanks.

Best,

Bastien
