Regression on Sentry issue not triggering status sync to Jira issue.

Environment

SaaS (https://sentry.io/)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Configure jira integration with status sync.
2. Create/link a Sentry issue to a Jira issue.
3. Resolve the issue in Sentry
4. The resolution status is correctly synced to Jira.
5. Trigger a regression in the Sentry issue

Expected Result

The status is synced to Jira

Actual Result

The status is not sync.

This seems to be affecting one organisation as the steps to reproduce do not result in the same issue on my test org. Due possible PII, specific information is in the shadow Jira ticket.

Engineer is still actively working on bugs from Jira integration. Unfortunately, the Jira integration was not actively maintained for 2-ish years so it has been moving slower than expected.

Nearly every status syncing issue I've been able to reproduce stems from selecting an incorrect status for your project, due to a bug that displays duplicate statuses in the Jira configuration dropdown for projects. PR #78756 has addressed this by only displaying statuses associated with the project you're configuring.

Please try reconfiguring your sync status transitions on the integration settings page to see if this alleviates the issue:

Something to keep in mind: this won't address any sync issues that occur if you configure the integration with an invalid status transition that Jira rejects because some condition is not met (such as invalid previous state, missing fields, etc.)

Please let us know if this doesn't alleviate your issue and we can review this further.

Hey guys, we have this too for my organization, sadly make the Jira integration much less usable.

This is on our radar. @GabeVillalobos is ooo today but will post an update on Monday.

Unfortunately, we've had to deprioritize this work for a bit due to our team being understaffed. The fix PR (#78756) addressing this unfortunately included a regression in behavior, so we had to revert the change. I will prioritize getting the fix out for this within the next coming month if possible.

We appreciate your patience, and welcome any community contributions on this in the meantime.
