🤪 Sanity check

  • I have searched and confirmed no existing open / closed issues, or open / closed PRs exist for this recipe
  • I have confirmed that the app is actively supported by its developers (i.e., not deprecated or abandoned)

📜 Description

"Mastodon for books" :) (or "goodreads for mastodon")

🤹‍♀️ Orchestration Platform

  • I'm interested deploying the app into Docker Swarm using manual editing and classic docker stack deploy
  • I'm interested deploying the app into Docker Swarm using premix's automated ansible playbooks
  • I'm interested deploying the app into Kubernetes using premix's helm charts

💍 Engagement

  • I plan to test the recipe after publication and provide feedback
  • I'm happy to provide community support in Discord re the recipe
  • I plan to submit a PR for this recipe myself 🏆

Code of Conduct

  • I agree to follow this Geek Cookbook's Code of Conduct

🔐 Authentication

The app provides its own, trustworthy authentication, or access control is unnecessary. I'd be happy exposing it to the internet

💼 Config Management

¯_(ツ)_/¯

💼 Connnectivity

The app requires inbound arbitrary TCP/UDP access, The app requires connectivity to other apps in its own stack (i.e., a database)

💾 Data persistence

The app needs access to its own persistent data (i.e. logs, database directory, etc)

🪂 Backup

The app requires an extra process to create backups for a file-based copy (i.e., a mysql database dump)

Valid! Was thinking it might be nice to set one up for a local bookstore.

That's a cool use-case :) For anything intended to be public / production, I'd be leaning towards k8s rather than swarm though, which particular platform is the most interesting for you?
