Delete leading digit issue

Whenever a user has a value that is a non-zero leading digit followed by zeros, if they delete the leading digit the entire number is cleared to 0.

eg. Enter 1,000,000
Place Cursor after 1 and backspace and the entire number is set to 0

I am currently using the plugin (1.7.4-B) in a site and have user who just need to change a value like 100,000 to 200,000. This issue is present in all browsers and happens on the demo site.
