Feature Request: open diff in a new pane (tab group)

It would be handy to have the option of showing the diff in a new pane rather than in a tab in the same tab group as one of the files being compared. Sometimes it is easier to be able to compare the two files directly as well as see the diff.

Thank you for the feature request! Currently, I'm unable to allocate time to develop this feature. However, I'm open to reviewing and accepting pull requests. Additionally, if this request receives significant support, specifically more than 10 thumbs up, I'll prioritize its implementation.
