BUG - Keyboard doesn't work on openSUSE Tumbleweed #128
Comments
@raphaelaulasgranger Oh wow, that sounds bad! I need more details:
Thanks! |
Merci @raphaelaulasgranger ! Thanks to your reply I was able to reproduce it on my own openSUSE Tumbleweed. The warnings in the logs hint at some incompatibility between Qt version bundled with the binary and the one in Tumbleweed. I will try to fix that by rebuilding those downloads on a more recent OS, but the more I think about it, the more it becomes obvious that we shouldn't bundle Qt at all... Actually, for the upcoming v0.10.0 I created a proper openSUSE repo in OBS: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:flowkeeper/flowkeeper -- this will be the recommended way to install Flowkeeper on Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora and openSUSE. Unlike the binaries from flowkeeper.org, the OBS version uses your system Python and Qt libraries, so it should have better compatibility. So if you want, you can use it today and be an early adopter of v0.10.0, which also has some nice new features (see the CHANGELOG: https://github.com/flowkeeper-org/fk-desktop/blob/v0.10.0/res/CHANGELOG.txt) To install it, execute the following:
This way you'll also be getting Flowkeeper updates and bugfixes automatically together with other system updates. Let me know if you tried it and whether it works for you or not. P.S. I tested the version from OBS, it works correctly on my openSUSE TW: |
