Does not work and simply creates a files with a bunch of "======"'s

Hello, here is what I am encountering

the code creates a file called cleaned.txt that has a bunch of these:

==========
==========
==========
==========
==========
==========
==========
==========
...

The changes I made to the initial code is to change gg.txt with My Clippings.txt which is what the file is called on the Kindle.
