Transient prompt doesn't work on recent git master builds

Well, I use a custom prompt with a transient prompt mode enabled, and recently, the transient prompt stopped working.

Although this only happens when I use either IlanCosman/tide with transient mode enabled or zzhaolei/transient.fish, it worked just fine before, so I think this is a regression (unless it's on purpose and some change is required in these projects).

I did a quick git bisect to find the commit that introduced the regression, and found 5ba21cd. I confirmed that reverting it made the transient prompt to work again.
