HRRPUL FOR SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS DOES NOT REPORT RESULT

Good morning,

In previous versions of FDS I used the device statics HRRPUL for sensitivity analysis. I would manually calculate the flame height with Heskestad or Cetegen and compare with HRRPUL.

The generated file (HRRPUL_line.csv) does not report any value though--how come?
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Thank you, I went and checked on the user guide. I entered STATISTICS_START and now the HRRPUL_line.csv file reports values regarding the kW/m column.

Below is the updated code:

Is it possible that with version 6.10.1 of fds this command is no longer supported?

Yes it was removed. If you look in the User's Guide table of output quantities you will see that it is no longer listed.

Some special inputs that can be generated via statstics have been removed to simplfiy the code base. HRRPUL is the area integral of HRRPUV which you can do with statistics.

I can do HRRPUV, the output is kW/mc. So, for find HRRPUL i can do the integral area of HRRPUV. Area meant as the plan area of the burner?

I suggest you use an area larger than just the fire base. You need to capture all the heat release within the volume.
