<p><a style='font-weight:bold' href='https://www.planetgolf.com/architects/darius-oliver' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Darius Oliver</a> is the golf architect building <a style='font-weight:bold' href='https://www.thecliffs.com.au/' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>The Cliffs Kangaroo Island</a>. Kangaroo Island is located off the coast of South Australia. Kangaroo Island is Australia's third largest island after Tasmania and Melville Island. Kangaroo Island is approximately 112 kilometers (70 miles) southwest of Adelaide and is accessible by ferry from Cape Jervis which is located about 100 kilometers (62 miles) south of Adelaide. The ferry ride takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the island. There are also regular flights to Kangaroo Island from Adelaide.</p>
<p><a style='font-weight:bold' href='https://www.linkedin.com/in/sam-atkins-50224521' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Sam Atkins</a> is the founder/managing director of The Seafront Group & The Cliffs Kangaroo Island.</p>
<p>Previous project from Darius Oliver was on King Island in Tasmania, Australia building Cape Wickham Links with Mike DeVries in 2015. Cape Wickham is an acclaimed design which has won many awards from design critics. The challenging layout incorporates the natural contours of the land offering scenic ocean views.</p>
<p>Justin Trott from <a style='font-weight:bold' href='https://programmed.com.au/service/property-building-maintenance/turnpoint/golf-course-construction/' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Programmed Turnpoint</a> is on golf construction team. Also from Programmed Turnpoint, <a style='font-weight:bold' href='https://www.linkedin.com/in/martin-greenwood-394ba198' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Martin Greenwood</a> is the Golf Course Construction Superintendent. Greenwood was previously the Course Manager at Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club and Superintendent at Kingston Heath.</p>
<p>Greenwood will be the Course Manager after the golf course opens on Easter April 2026 with the on course grounds team of Lindsay Richter, Glenn Peck, and John Geary. Preview play will start in January 2026.</p>
<p>Kangaroo Island is promoted by Tourism Australia to offer a wide range of guided experiences, including wildlife tours, coastal walks, and visits to local attractions such as the Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch.</p>
