Description
On a device with a Retina display, plug in a secondary monitor that is not a Retina display. Place an app on the low resolution display. Click and drag the app to hover it between the non-Retina and Retina display. The ghost preview of the app on the Retina display will not be in Retina resolution. The attached screenshots, “Non-Retina Display, Mid Drag” and “Retina Display, Mid Drag” show this part of the process—you can see that on the Retina display, the text in the app is half the resolution of the Menu Bar. After the cursor crosses over to the Retina display, the app is redrawn in Retina resolution. “Retina Display, After Drag” shows the app after the drag has completed.
The app should appear in Retina resolution during the drag, even while the cursor is on the non-Retina display.
