I use Typescript daily and really like how IDE can help to write and lint code when it understand code types. I can imagine it would make me significantly more productive when esphome yamls will support the same.
There is https://github.com/redhat-developer/vscode-yaml extension what can do all it, it just needs to have the schema defined.
It does not need to be a lot of labor when it is already done for website. It just should be generated from that schema files. Ideally it could be unified with the data for config validator, so there is less surface for mistakes because of inconsistency.
