Hello,

When using ESpeak with the latest version of NVDA, which, at the time of writing is 2024.1, it will crash when using the Demonic variant, and Scottish voice. This can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Set the “variant” to “Demonic.”
  2. Set the “voice to “English Scottland.”
  3. NVDA will STOP SPEAKING. Changing synthesizers will work, however NVDA must be restarted in order to get ESPeak working again as expected.
I am also attaching both n NVDA log and a crash dump, which will hopefully give a better idea of what is happening.

Thanks for reading and for looking into this issue, it is much appreciated.

Hi again,

I forgot to attach the log file as a .txt file, so I'll attach that here. Sorry about that.
