After giving it some thought, I have decided to go ahead with the translation of TBH. It can be done quite fast using online tools. That is the easy part. The hard part is revision/correction.

If you are willing to volunteer your time/effort to a certain language, please let me know in this thread.

@erykjj the abbreviations 'BCE' and 'CE', are they going to be translated elsewhere? Because in my language that would be 'f.v.t.' and 'e.v.t.'. If not, is it OK to write the danish translation with the abbreviations in parathesis, like this: "Før vor tidsregning (f.v.t.)

I'll work for Cebuano (perhaps Tagalog too)

Do not be surprised if I haven't translated some of the text; the equivalent Cebuano term is quite obsolete for modern usage. Language is constantly evolving.

I know it's unrelated but a Septuagint interlinear jwpub would be great

erykjj commented Apr 1, 2024

Someone else brought up something similar recently...

Do you mean with Hebrew and Greek? English and Greek (like the Kingdom Interlinear)?

In either case, I can only get the interlinear format to function when I bundle the jwpub as int (which is the Kingdom Interlinear). That's why you cannot have the KJS and the Kingdom Interlinear at the same time. The same would be true with any other interlinear: only one at a time. I think that's somehow hard-coded in the app. At least I haven't been able to make it work any other way :-(

@shonind
Copy link

shonind commented Apr 1, 2024

Greek/English, I guess. that would be another option for the interlinear yeah (I don't use the KJS nor the Kingdom interlinear currently)

@erykjj

erykjj commented Apr 1, 2024

The purpose of KJS is to take you from a scripture to the Strong's definitions of the words used there (and Vine's by extension). It's just an "intermediate" step for those of us who do not read Greek :-) You should give it a try and see how well it works. Just add KJS to your Bible compare panel.
