v1.2.0 was released in 2022 on Gitflic, but not on Github (due to blocking, see README). Please use machine (i.e. online) translation from Russian the release notes on Gitflic and mainly that publication -- there an useful and important information about given release and maintaining.
After that, at the end of last 2024, one of the telecommunications companies showed interest in the project. In particular, it was possible to assume some sponsorship/financing, but there is no news this year.
For my part, I spent some time trying to fix incompatibility issues with current versions of automake/autotools and other libraries. I.e. I achieved a successful build, passed the tests, and fixed several minor flaws. I will update the libmdbx (key-value storage engine) as soon as the v0.13.4 will be released. In the current understanding, ReOpenLDAP is still the only LDAP server that reliably operates in multi-master replication mode with support for the full-mesh topology, with a large amount of data and high load.
However, I have not been porting/importing any patches from OpenLDAP since the end of 2018, as it required a lot of work, but did not generate any income. Therefore, for now ReOpenLDAP should not be used in an open network and/or in an untrusted environment right now due to potential CVEs.
