protonmail/mutt via hydroxide: Failing to attach pdf with current setting in mutt

when trying to attach a pdf on my local machine via mutt,
i get an error when pressing sending.

2025/01/01 x:x:55 uploading message body
2025/01/01 x:x:00 sending message
2025/01/01 x:x:01 request failed: POST https://mail.proton.....: [2011] One or more attachments are missing a signature

is this normal? and is this related to my own set up in muttrc or hydroxide related?

also fails with simple .txt file attachment, not specific to pdf.
