Hi Elieser and thanks for your work! FYI I have included JamTaba in the Jambox SD-card image for Raspberry Pi. Jambox is a pre-configured SD-card image that runs multiple jamming apps including JamTaba. It's free and very easy to use, just download/burn/boot/jam. Check it out!

@Hitrate Thanks, I would really like to hear your feedback. For best results:

  • Raspberry Pi4 is recommended, it has higher performance than Pi3. Pi3 will still work, but in that case the jack audio delay is set longer to avoid xruns.
  • Please use latest image (currently 1.4.0-b.2). It has had some turning that helps it perform batter than 1.3 with JamTaba.

Ok I got Pi 3 512 and 1000 as well as Pi 4 4GB, will use the Pi 4.

I have set up two of my band mates with jambox on a couple of pi 4 (4GB). Works really well. although webcam functionality doesn't seem to work...

@kdoren just curious, how are you dealing with #1210 or are you not dealing with that at all? We'd like to package JamTaba for Arch Linux but the missing license and VST2 drama is keeping us from doing so...

@cbix info is in my repo; you can clone and build for Debian directly, or adapt for arch; I'm just building from public sources that have long been available on GitHub (6 years). So I guess the answer is that I'm not dealing with it at all.
