Not 100% sure if this is a feature request or just a question.

Is it possible to download/upload the formatting as well as the XML?

In other words, is it possible to keep local and uploaded versions completely in sync without having to recreate formatting changes using the interface.

For downloading formatted version, there is already feature request #217

For upload, you would like to download formatted version (eg. in Word format), make changes locally and upload it back to Lexonomy. I'm afraid, in such case, we would have to develop parser from Word (or something else) to XML which is quite outside the scope of Lexonomy.

No, that’s not what I meant.

If you have a local instance of lexonomy you can save the XML and upload it to lexonomy.eu (or vice versa), but that is only the raw data. Is there a mechanism to share the dictionary formatting between instances?

I see. So basically, import and export of dictionary configuration. That's possible via API, but we can think of some more user friendly way.
