What Happened?

If an app enters fullscreen mode, pressing the SUPER key will no longer open the applications menu.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open an application on fullscreen;
  2. Press SUPER;
  3. Bug happens.

Expected Behavior

Applications menu shows up normally.

OS Version

8.x (Circe)

Session Type

Secure Session (Wayland)

Software Version

Latest release (I have run all updates)

Log Output

No response

Hardware Info

CPU: Dual Core Intel® Core(TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz
Graphics: Intel® UHD Graphics
RAM: 4 GB

That's expected but I guess one can argue that it should...
@elementary/ux do we want the applications menu to show over fullscreen windows?

I think it's a reasonable behavior to expect. Windows will open the start menu and show the taskbar if Super is pressed while fullscreen-ed. MacOS will open launchpad while fullscreen-ed as well, but it's keyboard shortcut is both off and undefined by default.

It feels weird having the button do nothing. It should at least do something.
