Thanks for reaching out about this! You may find that it will work, but if it does then that'll likely be due to historically aligned code bases. Moving forward though, the AWS fork is not Elasticsearch and so we will only be providing official and explicit compatibility and support with the original Elasticsearch that we at Elastic produce. |

Now that AWS is moving to OpenSearch, will elasticesearch-rails still be compatible with this? If so, is it easy to figure out which version of the gem is needed for the corresponding version of OpenSearch?
