Improving the content of EDAM-bioimaging (without Git, for 👩🏽‍🔬🩺🧘🏽‍♂️👩🏽‍🏭👩🏽‍🎓) #28

@matuskalas

Description

@matuskalas

This is a "container", general issue for improving the EDAM-bioimaging ontology. Without using Git, friendly also to non-tech-geeks.👩🏽‍💻
We will extremely appreciate if biologists👩🏽‍🔬, MDs🩺, citizen scientists🧘🏽‍♂️, other scientists👩🏽‍🏭, and learners👩🏽‍🎓 (that is everone🙌🏽) contribute this way: Your view is the most important!!!🥇
Contributions can be done by posting comments to EDAM-bioimaging concepts in WebProtégé (best; free registration required to view and comment) or on the NCBO BioPortal (also great; free registration required to post notes|suggestions).

The details of how to contribute to EDAM-bioimaging are documented in the README.md (shown when opening the repo on GitHub), and in CONTRIBUTING.md (it's the same text as https://github.com/edamontology/edam-bioimaging#contributing).

Please contribute by adding comments to the existing threads, and create new threads where needed. If you find a bigger gap, for example a concept or a set of concepts or keywords missing, feel free to submit also a separate GitHub issue for those, in addition to your comments on WebProtégé or BioPortal.

Example of a concrete issue for a missing concept: #24 (Explainable artificial intelligence)

Particularly appreciated input is:

  • Short, 1-sentence definitions of concepts (many are missing one!)
  • Links to Wikipedia articles
  • Any additional comments if needed
  • If there are more related terms or more related concepts (present of missing in EDAM-bioimaging), please note those also in your comments
  • Please note also any open questions, things that need to be discussed further or clarified, etc.

MILLION THANKS!!! 🙏🏽🙇🏽‍♂️🙌🏽🌈🌻❤
