Motivation

In SEO, schemas are structured data types used to help search engines better understand and display content.
e107 currently includes schema output for FAQs, but only as an experimental feature.

Proposed Solution

Add support for news items, and remove the additional template requirements for when items are looped. (ie. single template, not start/item/end)
Use JSON-LD as previously implemented, but provide templates so that Microdata, or RDFa could be used if developers wished to use it.

Alternatives

Elaborate custom solutions coded inside theme or plugin shortcodes.
