Update or Backup and Start New from 3.0.6?

I'm on WGD 3.0.6 and I duplicated my Proxmox LXC for the purpose of trying to update/upgrade to 4.2.3 or 4.2.4. Tried ./wgd.sh update and it fails. What would be the easiest way to get to 4.2.X without loosing all my current set up peers? TIA!

I have jumped through some serious hoops but at this point I have a test LXC upgraded and did the password delete. That didn't allow me to login with just a user name so I did a user/pass reset to admin using
"sed -i '2 c\username = admin' /wgdashboard/src/wg-dashboard.ini && sed -i '3 c\password = 8c6976e5b5410415bde908bd4dee15dfb167a9c873fc4bb8a81f6f2ab448a918' /wgdashboard/src/wg-dashboard.ini && systemctl restart wg-dash"
and it just sits and spins like it wants to login but won't. Also went back to my original and copied the user/pass lines and pasted those back to the wg-dashbord.ini with the same result. ./wgd.sh debug provides the following:

Ahh yes... that was a mistake I made. You can simply remove the line and save the file. Once you restart WGDashboard, just login with the password admin and change it again in the settings page.

Destroyed that one thinking it was a loss... 😫 Started over and I'm having an issue now with gunicorn.

For those of you who are finding this and have issues Follow this to update your python (I personally replaced the 3.12 with 3.13.5 everywhere it says 3.12.) :

When you login use your current User with Pass = admin. Setup your new login credentials and then you're in!
