Basemap Image Disappears After Closing Blender #846
Comments
is the porject is not saved then texture map image is downloaded in a temporary folder. A simple fix is to save the project before loading a basemap, then the texture will be saved in the same folder. |

Blender and OS versions
Blender 3.3.5, Windows 10
Describe the bug
This could be something simple I am missing, but I can successfully load a basemap image into my project and work with it (in this case Google). However, whenever I save the project, exit Blender, and open Blender and reload the project file at a later time, the image map is gone, and Blender just shows a pink box (as if an image/texture is missing).
Is there a simple way to solve this or get the map image back?
How to Reproduce
Import base map into blender project, save project, close blender, open blender and load project
