Bug: Not possible to save selected single fields in settings

Environment: local, ddev (PHP 8.3)

In Settings>Fields it is not possible for me to select individual (text) fields. After saving, the field is switched off again.

I have to turn on all fields of the entry type to activate them, even the non-text fields.

We use a matrix field with several entry types for the modular creation of content on our website's pages.
