Have noticed this happening all of a sudden on several sites simultaneously. Initially tried to change other aspects of affected sites, such as IP address through proxy/tor, or Browser User Agent string, but it seems to be resistant to those changes, and repeated gives me the message: "403 ERROR The request could not be satisfied. Request blocked. We can't connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error. Try again later, or contact the app or website owner. If you provide content to customers through CloudFront, you can find steps to troubleshoot and help prevent this error by reviewing the CloudFront documentation."
or, on Cloudflare. Error 1010Ray Access denied
What happened? The owner of this website has banned your access based on your browser’s signature
This is with the playwright/chrome browser. If I use the text scraper, I get a 'turn on cookies' error.
So it appears what's happening is that the two services, almost at the same time, have started recognising playwright/chome as a scraper, have fingerprinted the browser and are blocking it. I understand this fingerprinting is being done in javascript, so changing the UserAgent doesn't have any effect.
Questions:
Has anyone else been experiencing this recently?
Any hints for resolving it?
