Is broken because it does not show where 'store' comes from

It's not, you.

You can checkout the example repo.
It obviously came from redux (unless you're new to redux which does not make the read me broken.)

Check this out to know more about redux: https://redux.js.org/api-reference/createstore

Though I must admit, it's not beginner friendly. We should work on that.
